I’ve learned just what a true relationship means. There’s no prince charming, there’s no fairy tale ending, nothing is completely perfect. You work at it every single day. It takes tears, headaches, and arguments. It takes opening up and being translucent and completely vulnerable. Everything you ever feared or hid from everyone else you suddenly let it all out, out into the open. It takes guts to pour your heart & soul onto another person. You realize you’re not perfect & neither are they but you accept them as they are for all those things that have shaped them into the person they are today. A relationship doesn’t always have it’s downs. The higher points are what keeps you both working at this day after day. It’s the butterflies in your stomach, the joy of seeing your other half happy, the enormous amount of happiness you feel when you’re with them, a simple touch that sends chills all over your body, how they suddenly become the diamond in your eyes, and how in your little picture of the future there’s suddenly room for one more.  Like every other thing in this world, a relationship takes hard work but it’s love that makes it all worth it.
